Background history:

Louise Dobson Trease is the founder and principal of LOUD and actively works as a creator of design, strategy and innovation.  A graduate of the esteemed Victorian College of Arts, Louise developed a love of clay and all things ceramic, which led her to design and create a collection of homewares for well-known and established brands.

As Louise’s knowledge of ceramics developed, her design talents and managerial flair led her to the construction and building industry.  Institutional and industry obstacles often meant females were not afforded the same opportunities as their male counterparts; however, Louise made it her business to know the industry, products and processes better than any of her contemporaries.

In a career spanning over 20 years in the construction and building industry, Louise has had roles in rebranding businesses, designing new products, planning for sustainability, as well as education and product development & commercialisation. After a hiatus to focus on her family, Louise came back to the industry with a passion and clear objectives to achieve a cultural shift in how we use/reuse building materials.  This led to the establishment of the LOUD Design Group
